Exposition "At Home", dans le cadre du programme SpaceInvasion

LE (9) BIS a participé au programme SPACEINVASION à Vienne en Autriche pour présenter une sélection d'artistes qui font partie de la programmation du (9) BIS. SPACEINVASION est un programme d' "expositions-invasions" temporaires présentées dans des lieux inhabituels toujours différents, proposant un espace à la création contemporaine d'artistes internationaux. L'édition du 13 au 21 avril 2007 a eu lieu dans l'ancienne chambre de commerce municipale de Vienne, dans la Riemergasse, à côté de la Seilerstätte, l'un des quartiers les plus reconnus à Vienne pour son offre artistique et culturelle, notamment par la présence de galeries prestigieuses. Ainsi, organisateurs de lieux de diffusion internationaux, artistes et galeristes ont été invités à présenter une sélection d'oeuvres sur les six étages du bâtiment : CAPRI, Berlin, LES COMPLICES*, Zurich, TEMPORARY CONTEMPORARY, London, LE(9)BIS, Saint-Etienne et SPACEINVASIONWIEN.

SPACE INVASION is a series of exhibitions staged as temporary “invasions“ at unused locations that always change, providing space for young, contemporary positions to be displayed. The April 2007 SPACE INVASION was set in the offices of the former commercial and municipal courtsat in Riemergasse. However, artists were not contacted directly this time, but organizers of international and non-commercial project areas, so called offspaces, have been invited to present themselves throughout the six floors of the building: CAPRI, Berlin, LES COMPLICES*, Zurich, TEMPORARY CONTEMPORARY, London, and LE 9BIS, Saint-Etienne. SPACE INVASION itself will be represented by the works of three artists appearing together as SPACE INVASION WIEN. Furthermore, SPACE INVASION considers itself an initiative aimed at bringing focus to the metropolitan district where the current spaces are located respectively, and helping the area become more frequented. Also, a cooperation with existing cultural initiatives in the local area is desired. Hence, the gallery scene at Seilerstätte and in the immediate vicinity will be incorporated into the SPACE INVASION as SEILERSTÄTTE, OFF PROJECT, whereby the galleries will display the works of young artists.
